Students Entering Year 9

Welcome to our Course Selection part of the portal, where you can browse through all the courses that are offered at Kaiapoi High School.  

You can view all courses at any time of year, however it is currently the time when we require you to make your choices for next year.  Therefore we are guiding you through just your choices for next year in these instructions.  

Top tips to help you through this process:

* Read these online instructions carefully, as what you see on a computer screen is different from how it appears on a mobile device.  We will cover this more in the instructions.

* Don't worry about the core subjects.  As they are compulsory, they are automatically added to your timetable for next year and do not need to be selected.  Core subjects are Mathematics, English, Science, Technology, Social Studies, and Health & Physical Education.

* It's all about drag and drop!  When you are selecting your Arts Options subjects, your TOP TWO will be the ones we try our hardest to place you in, with the bottom two being your backup options.

* Don't fret if you have a change of heart.  You can still re-enter the Course Selection area and change your chosen subjects as many times as you want until the selection portal closes.  Just make sure you remember to click the Complete My Courses button to finalise, save, and submit your changes.
