Science
In science, students explore how both the natural physical world and science itself work so that they can participate as critical, informed, and responsible citizens in a society in which science plays a significant role.
Science will give students a foundation for problem-solving and decision-making in many areas of life, taking into account both social and ethical considerations.
The core strand, Nature of Science, is required learning for all students up to year 10. Through this strand, students learn what science is and how scientists work. The four other strands, The Living World, Planet Earth and Beyond, The Physical World, and The Material World provide contexts for learning.
Students entering senior science, (Years 11-13), are able to specialise in one or more science disciplines including, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Psychology.
