Course Description

Recommended Prior Learning

To be accepted for this course students must have earned 14 credits from Level 1 Digital Art, or have received HOF approval.

Photography utilises digital processes and DSLR cameras. Students will learn a variety of techniques, including furthering their aperture, shutter speed, depth of field, lighting, situation-specific photography skills, and digital photoshop skills. 

Students will utilise our high-quality Nikon cameras, props, and the lighting studio. Students will develop ideas and themes over the year, based on their own interests, in consultation with the teacher, with inspiration taken from established artists’ ideas, methods, and techniques.  

There are 12 external credits where students display a portfolio of their year’s work. There are four internal credits, with the option of an additional four internal credits. Opportunities arise each year for students to publicly exhibit their work and to enter competitions.
