Level 3 Painting and Printmaking

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mx R. Goldstein

Level 3 Painting and Printmaking explores surface, risk-taking, and possibilities. It can pour from the surface, or surprise you with colour and texture.

This is a very practical, hands-on course. Students are encouraged to create their own painting or printmaking style, and expand their understanding of surface, pictorial space, mediums, and their observational drawing skills.

Students will develop ideas and themes over the year, in consultation with the teacher, and utilise artist role models. Students can extend their work into the expanded painting or printmaking realm utilising 3D installation.

There are 14 external credits where students display a portfolio of their year’s work. There are four internal credits, with an option to complete another four internal credits. Opportunities arise each year for students to publicly exhibit their work and enter competitions.
